Covington cuts non-profit donations

When John Edwards left the four-hour Finance and Administration Committee meeting Tuesday evening, he wasn't a happy camper. And the longtime alderman took to Facebook to express his unhappiness over cuts in donations to the Tipton County Commission on Aging and the Boys & Girls Club.

Taxes, utility rate increases proposed

Mason residents were put on notice last week that their taxes and utility rates are expected to be on the rise in the coming year. Just how much of an increase is being considered, though, is still up in the air.
